Day by day itinerary

Day 1: Arival Luang Prabang

On arrival at the Luang Prabang airport, you will be warmly greeted and transferred to check in the hotel (early check-in upon availability)
There are no activities planned for today, so feel free to wander around the city by yourself. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 2: Luang Prabang - Kuang Si Waterfalls (B/L/-)

Morning

We will pay a visit to Kuang Si Waterfall by bicycle – a gorgeous waterfall surrounded by lush tropical jungle to see marvelous sights and enjoy a swim in the clear water.

Afternoon

We can stop by the neighboring Butterflies Park near the Kuang Si Waterfall to enjoy afternoon tea with homemade cookies inside the peaceful green garden full of colorful butterflies.

Late afternoon, we will take the boat back to Luang Prabang.

Day 3: Luang Prabang - Kiu Kacham (B/L/-)

Morning

We will ride over the rolling highlands of northern Laos today. The trip is particularly challenging in some places (altitudes up to 1400 m), but a support vehicle will be there to guide you.

We’ll get to Kiu Kacham in the late afternoon.

Day 4: Kiu Kacham - Kasi Hot Spring Resort (B/L/-)

Morning

After breakfast, you cycle between 1000 and 1400 meters to Phou Khoun, which is up and down the whole way for 48km, with one big steep descent and ascent in the middle from 12 – 30km. Some of the ranges will be steeper than the day before, but they won’t last long.

Afternoon

Coming out of town, you climb for another 10 or so kilometers before beginning a 12 km long descent. Once you reach the bottom and cross the river, there is a short climb to Kasi Hot Spring Resort, where the hot springs can aid in your recovery from the riding day.

Day 5: Kasi Hot Spring Resort - Vang Vieng (B/L/-)

Morning

There are around 20 km of rolling hills from the Hot Spring Resort to Kasi, although they are mainly downhill. Before moving on, we may pause here for a moment to have a drink and recharge.

After around 10 kilometers of flat terrain, you will climb for 35 – 55 kilometers, then mostly downhill and flat for the last 30 km into tourist hot spot Vang Vieng.

Before going for a short ride around the town, check in at your hotel in Vang Vieng.

Day 6: Vang Vieng - Nam Ngum Lake (B/L/-)

Morning

Today, we will take a short biking journey to the village of Ban Thaheua. From there, transfer to your hotel, which is located on the north side of Nam Ngum Lake.

Afternoon

The day is packed with activities at several locations, including kayaking, water-jet skiing, paddle boarding, cycling, and walking to surrounding villages. Discuss with our tour guide the activities you would want to take part in (at your own expense).

You can choose to unwind by the resort’s swimming pool. Spend the night at Ban Tha Heua.

Day 7: Nam Ngum - Ban Keun (B/-/-)

Morning

You are free to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ban Tha Heua before the afternoon trip.

Afternoon

Our biking trip will begin with short but steep rolling hills that will last for around 3 km. Once it is through, the going gets a lot easier until we arrive at Ban Keun in the late afternoon.

We will spend the night here, so check in at your hotel with a view of the Nam Lik River.

Day 8: Ban Keun - Vientiane (B/L/-)

Morning

Before arriving in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, you pedal over dirt roads through paddy fields with attractive views in the Phou Khao Khouay mountain range to the village of Thangon before entering the capital city of Laos: Vientiane.

As you bike through the suburbs, you’ll eventually arrive in the heart of this storied, vibrant city along the Mekong.

Day 9: Vientiane Free Day (B/-/-)

There are no activities today. You are free to stroll around the town for your own exploration.

NOTE: There is an option to cycle along the Mekong River or take a kayak. Please discuss with our guide if you wish to take part in extra activities.
