As we drive through the peaceful rural rice paddies, you'll see ducks and water buffalos swimming in the rivers alongside the road. Next, we'll visit the Royal Palace, which serves as the residence of the King of Cambodia. Adjacent to the palace is the Silver Pagoda, which houses many national treasures including gold and jeweled Buddha statues.

On the way to the hotel, we'll make a stop in front of the King's Residence to see the Main Shrine, where local people usually come to worship with its statue of Yeay Teap, Preah Ang Chek, and Preah Ang Chorm. It's important for Cambodians to buy jasmine and lotus flowers to offer during their worship.
We'll then visit "Chantiers Ecoles - Les Artisans d'Angkor," which provides training for young Cambodians to revive the ancient Khmer traditions of stone carving and wood sculpting.

After breakfast, we'll enjoy a full-day excursion to discover Angkor Thom and its temples. We'll start by visiting the magnificent Angkor Thom (the Great City), including the Southern Gate and the famous Bayon temple, which remains one of the most enigmatic temples of the Angkor group. Composed of 54 gothic towers decorated with 216 smiling faces of Avalokitesvara, this temple is truly a sight to behold. We'll also visit the Baphuon temple, lying just to the north of Bayon, which is a pyramidal representation of mythical Mont Meru. We'll then proceed to Terrace of Elephants, which was used as a giant reviewing stand for public ceremonies and served as a base for the king's grand audience hall. Lastly, we'll explore the Terrace of the Leper King, which is a platform 7m high and has statues and temple walls covered in emerald-green moss intertwined with roots.
We'll have lunch in a local restaurant that serves Khmer-style dishes. After regaining our energy, we'll head to Sras Srang, the Royal Pool of Ablutions, where we can enjoy a sumptuous Khmer feast followed by a nap in a hammock or observe the traditional way of life and say hello to the Cambodians who live nearby.
In the afternoon, it's time to visit the wonderful Angkor Wat Temples, which is one of the seven greatest architectural wonders of the world. Built as a temple and mausoleum for King Suryavarman II at the peak of the Khmer empire in the first half of the 12th century, Angkor Wat is probably the best-preserved of the Angkorean temples. Its central monument represents the mythical Mount Meru, the holy mountain at the center of the universe which was home to the Hindu God Vishnu. The whole complex covers 81 hectares, while a rectangular wall measuring 1025 meters by 800 meters borders the inner edge of the moat. The temple's greatest sculptural treasure is its 2 km-long bas-reliefs around the walls.
In the late afternoon, we'll visit the Phnom Bakheng temple, which is the first temple in the Angkor region built by the Yacovarman I King in the early 9th century. Located on a gently sloping hilltop, thousands of tourists group together to catch a memorable sunset over the distant Angkor Wat in the jungle.
This evening, we'll enjoy a buffet dinner with Cambodian Cultural Performance including Apsara Show, which will be a spectacular finale to our day tour.
